Slovakia, the assassinated fiancés
Journalist Jan Kuciak and his partner Martina Kusnirova were assassinated in February 2018. Jan was finalizing an investigation into the presumed links between Slovakian politicians and the Italian mafia, as well as the fraud committed by European agricultural funds and a certain real estate magnate close to the center of power. His former colleagues decided to pursue his investigations, as depicted by filmmaker Camille Le Pomellec.
